Eric’s Muscle Cars is proud to offer this beautifully restored 1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible. Well known for the distinctive sequential taillights and trademark hideaway headlights the Cougars appearance made it a very popular Mercury when it was released. Same owner since 2005, has put less than 10,000 miles on it since that time and kept it in his garage. The body was completely redone in 2009 with a Dupont Hot Hues color. The 351 Windsor motor was professionally rebuilt in 2010 and only has about 8,200 miles on it. Driven sparingly since restored but enjoyed, it does have minor rock chips but still looks fantastic as the pictures and video show. The engine bay is detailed, featuring an Edelbrock Performance Series four-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, complemented by factory-style exhaust manifolds. Ford Racing valve covers add a touch of flair, while all hoses, belts, and soft parts are in good condition. The FMX transmission was serviced and rebuilt in 2005. The car boasts new front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, and rear air shocks. The interior similarly was restored with a new carpet and vinyl front seats to match the original design. This car has won numerous awards at various car shows over the years and is particularly fun to drive with the top down. Included with the car are numerous spare parts and repair and shop manuals. Drop the top and enjoy this Cougar on a beautiful day and you won’t stop seeing thumbs up on any cruise !
